Marcella Eid’s experience in litigation across various areas includes legal research, preparation of pleadings, and careful analysis of documents pertinent to client disputes. She collaborates with the attorneys in Butzel’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department to provide clients with valuable services and effective litigation solutions.

Overview

Marcella Eid is a Law Clerk located in Butzel’s Detroit office. She was previously a Summer Associate at the firm, where she gained exposure to litigation work in areas including Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Corporate, Labor and Employment, Contract, and Automotive Law. She performed legal writing and research tasks to help prepare pleadings, memorandums, and corporate documents.

Prior to joining Butzel, Marcella worked for over three years as a law clerk at a full-service law firm that specializes in business and corporate litigation. In this role, she aided attorneys in case law research, preparations for discovery and trial, and the drafting and filing of pleadings throughout the Michigan court system.

Marcella received her juris doctor from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. During her time in law school, Marcella was a teaching assistant for a legal practice course and a Staff Editor for the Washington University Global Studies Law Review. Marcella also worked as a 3L clinic student under faculty supervision with clients in WashU Law’s Clinical Education Program.

Marcella received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Wayne State University, graduating summa cum laude with university and departmental honors. While attending Wayne State University, fellow students elected her to serve as Vice President of the Wayne State University Student Senate where she represented approximately 25,000 students.

Through her experiences, Marcella has developed a high-level of professionalism that she loves to apply to her work.
