Bio

Nicholas T. Badalamenti is an associate attorney in Plunkett Cooney’s Insurance Coverage Practice Group. His practice includes insurance coverage litigation, as well as providing coverage opinions and advice to insurer clients.

In addition, Mr. Badalamenti’s litigation practice includes the defense of first- and third-party auto liability cases and general negligence claims involving premises and construction liability.

Mr. Badalamenti earned his law degree from Wayne State University Law School. He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University where he was a member of the 2014 Ivy League Champion varsity soccer team.

Representative Client Work

  • Represented an insurance carrier in bad faith and first-party insurance coverage actions in Michigan involving damage to an insured’s residential and commercial properties caused by wind, hail and fire
  • Prepared coverage opinions, reservation of rights and denial letters defining the coverage afforded to an insured, or the lack thereof, under insurance policies, including commercial business, business owners, environmental package, commercial auto, homeowners, and umbrella insurance policies
  • Represented insurance carriers in declaratory judgment actions in federal and state courts for purposes of defining and/or disputing the coverage afforded to insureds in relation to first-party and third-party claims
  • Represented insurance carriers in lawsuits pertaining to premises liability, first-party No-Fault, automobile negligence, breach of contract, general negligence and claims for subrogation
