Marisa Brutoco is a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the firm's Orange County and Silicon Valley offices.
Marisa Brutoco uses her years of experience working with many of the world's most innovative companies to provide strategic legal and business advice for her clients regarding technology, commercial, and intellectual property agreements and transactions and product development. Marisa was previously in-house counsel at Amazon, Google/YouTube, GoPro, and Apple.
Areas of Practice
Marisa has significant industry expertise in areas including healthcare technology and innovation, digital health, enterprise software and software as a service, AI, data licensing, digital media, sports, entertainment, and government contracts.
Marisa negotiates deals and advises on issues and product launches, including those related to software, cloud computing, hardware development and supply chain agreements, apps, wearables and remote patient monitoring, telehealth, outsourcing, procurement, services and vendor agreements, university tech transfer, OEM, reseller and distribution agreements, autonomous vehicles, Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality (VR/AR), publicity rights and copyright licensing and assignments. She also provides guidance on the IP, commercial and technology aspects of mergers and acquisitions, joint venture agreements and financings.
Marisa serves on the Board of Trustees for her alma mater, Stanford University. She is on their audit, compliance and risk committee and legal subcommittee as well as Stanford’s Athletics Advisory Council and chairs the external affairs subcommittee. She is also on the board for her alma mater, Stanford Law School and is the Law Fund Chair.
