Overview

Ali Tehrani is special counsel in the Real Estate, Energy, Land Use & Environmental Practice Group in the firm's Orange County office.

Areas of Practice

Ali has over a decade of experience helping his clients successfully navigate the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) and local municipal codes to entitle residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, and public infrastructure projects. As a CEQA expert, Ali has helped exempt many projects from CEQA. For projects that require substantive environmental review, Ali has reviewed dozens of mitigated negative declarations (“MNDs”), environmental impact reports (“EIRs”), sustainable communities environmental assessments (“SCEAs”), and other documents to ensure CEQA compliance.

Ali is also an experienced litigator who has successfully defended many projects from lawsuits alleging violations of CEQA, the California Planning and Zoning Law, and various local municipal codes.
