Sheppard Mullin Recognized for Patent Work in 2024 China Business Law Awards
China Business Law Journal has honored Sheppard Mullin as part of its China Business Law Awards 2024, which recognize the best Chinese and international law firms in various practice area categories for the Chinese market.
Sheppard Mullin was among the top international law firm's in CBLJ's Patent practice category. The firm's patent practice was noted for advising many Chinese technology companies, including representing Huaqin Technology, China’s largest original design manufacturer, in responding to patent infringement lawsuits filed by telecoms research and development company Bell Northern Research in the US. The firm achieved two dismissals in these cases. The firm also advised on intellectual property matters such as patent applications, freedom-to-operate analysis, and compliance for chip company ChangXin Memory Technologies.
