Brandon Faus is an associate in the Finance and Bankruptcy Practice Group in the firm's Los Angeles office.

Areas of Practice

Brandon represents commercial banks, private credit lenders, and corporate borrowers in a variety of structured finance, asset-based lending, and other capital markets transactions. Brandon has experience with a broad range of asset classes and industries, with specialties in warehouse facilities secured by residential and commercial mortgages and other receivables. Brandon also represents buyers and sellers engaging in the purchase and sale of loans and loan portfolios.

Brandon also has experience structuring and negotiating loan workouts and forbearance agreements, including the sale of such loans to third parties.

Prior to joining Sheppard Mullin, Brandon enjoyed a decade-long career as a banker serving in both a business development and credit risk management capacity. He has extensive experience working with residential mortgage lenders in warehouse and correspondent lending transactions.

Brandon is the lead associate on the firm’s Mortgage Banking Team and a member of the firm’s Recruiting Committee.

  • Senior secured revolving line of credit to a private lender backed by loans for residential and multifamily property acquisition and construction projects.
  • Senior secured revolving line of credit to a private land banker with national homebuilder relationships.
  • Senior secured revolving line of credit to a private lender backed by bridge loans for commercial properties and multifamily properties.
  • Borrower side representation of a private mortgage lender forming a special purpose entity and negotiated warehouse line of credit.
  • Represented a federal home loan bank in several affiliate pledge transactions secured by pools of mortgage loans held in one of several Delaware statutory trust structures, including master and series trusts.
  • Senior secured revolving line of credit secured by international trade receivables.
  • Purchase and sale of non-performing commercial loans from a commercial bank special assets department.
  • Term loan for multi-stage acquisitions of companies with extensive government contracts and intellectual property.
