Bret Strzelczyk is an associate in the Real Estate, Energy, Land Use & Environmental Practice Group in the firm's Chicago office and is a member of the Energy, Infrastructure and Project Finance Team.

Areas of Practice

Bret’s practice focuses on renewable energy transactions primarily involving the development and financing of renewable energy projects, particularly solar, wind, and battery storage projects.

Prior to joining Sheppard Mullin, Bret was a finance associate at a large international law firm where he represented insurance companies, pension funds, asset managers and other large-scale institutional investors in connection with their purchase of private placement debt securities issued under Section 4(a)(2) of the Securities Act across multiple asset classes.

Bret is a member of the University Club of Chicago where he has served in multiple membership development positions. He is also an active member of the Fenwick Bar Association where he mentors high school students seeking a career in the legal field.
