Katherine McGrath is special counsel in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm's San Diego (Downtown) office.
Areas of Practice
Katherine is a former Federal Prosecutor and a seasoned trial lawyer who represents clients in complex and high-profile matters in state and federal courts. Kathrine also represents clients in government investigations and enforcement actions.
In addition to representing clients in litigation, Katherine also counsels clients on a wide range of regulatory matters, particularly in the healthcare field.
Prior to joining the firm, Katherine spent nearly a decade as an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California. In that role, she led complex, multi-year investigations, prosecuted hundreds of cases, and tried numerous cases to verdict. She also held key leadership roles in the office, including serving as the district’s Human Trafficking Coordinator, Elder Fraud Coordinator, and Victims’ Rights Coordinator. Before joining DOJ, Katherine worked as an associate at another major law firm, where she represented large corporations in complex litigation in both federal and state court.
