Areas of Practice

Raj focuses his practice on high-tech patent litigation by applying his background in electrical engineering. Prior to Sheppard Mullin, Raj practiced patent litigation at another global law firm, where he litigated cases before federal district courts and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board in connection with inter partes review and ex parte reexamination. As a patent attorney and former Supervisory Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), Raj speaks the language of inventors and engineers. While at the USPTO, his contribution to the agency’s mission was recognized by the agency’s Leadership-In-Action Award and the Bronze Medal Award for outstanding performance.
