Stinson Earns Ninth Gold Certification from Women in Law Empowerment Forum
Stinson LLP is proud to announce that it has once again been awarded Gold Standard Certification by the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF). The firm has received this distinction every year since the certification began in 2011.
For 2020 Gold Standard Certification, Stinson met all of WILEF's mandatory and optional criteria:
- 20% of equity partners or, alternatively, 33% of the attorneys becoming equity partners during the past 12 months are women
- 15% of firm and U.S. branch office heads are women
- 20% of the firm’s primary governance committee are women
- 20% of the firm’s compensation committee or its equivalent are women
- 15% of the top half of the firm’s equity partners in terms of compensation are women
- 7% of women equity partners are women of color or 3.5% of women equity partners identify as LGBTQ. Stinson was also named as one of the best law firms for female partners in Law360's annual Glass Ceiling report, recognized by Women, Inc. as one of the top 100 law firms for women in 2019, and received top marks in the Human Rights Campaign's 2020 Corporate Equality Index. The firm also joined the American Bar Association's Well-Being Pledge to facilitate a reduction in mental health stress and improve wellbeing for legal professionals.
