Adam Schmelzer Joins Stinson in Minneapolis, Bolsters Firm's Energy and International Experience

Stinson LLP is pleased to welcome Adam C.R. Schmelzer to its Minneapolis office. Schmelzer joins as of counsel in the firm's Energy, Environmental, Mining and Transportation Practice Division.

Schmelzer's practice focuses on strategic transactions and project development across the energy, infrastructure and natural resources value chains as well as in emerging technology sectors. His work includes mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements, corporate governance matters, foreign direct investments and other complex deals in the United States and abroad. He advises a diverse range of clients, including private investors, national and private energy companies, developers and other key stakeholders. 

Schmelzer has extensive experience in cross-border transactions, having practiced in the Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore offices of two global law firms. He has guided clients through high-stakes acquisitions, investments and divestments, including sensitive industry matters in the United States and China.

Schmelzer earned his J.D. from Boston College, an M.P.A. from Tsinghua University and a B.A. from St. John's University.

He will split his time between the firm's Minneapolis and New York City offices to support a growing number of clients in both jurisdictions.
