Stinson Names Scheck as Wichita Office Managing Partner

Stinson LLP is proud to announce Partner Stephanie Scheck became the firm's Wichita office managing partner on Jan. 1, succeeding Partner Lynn Preheim who will continue to focus on his robust complex commercial litigation practice.

"Stephanie's knowledge of the Wichita market and her various leadership roles in the firm position her to continue to strengthen and grow the Wichita office, and support our outstanding attorneys and clients in this market," Stinson Managing Partner Allison Murdock said. Scheck will support more than 25 attorneys and staff as the office managing partner.

Scheck has been a member of the firm since 1996 and currently serves on the firm's board of directors, executive committee, and as co-chair of the firm's Labor, Employment & Benefits Practice Division.

In addition to her leadership roles, Scheck's practice focuses on employment litigation and providing employment counseling on a variety of complex issues. She specializes in representing clients in Affirmative Action Plan audits and administrative claims before the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs and often represents companies in high-stakes internal investigations. Scheck utilizes her experience to serve as lead labor and employment specialty counsel in transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, as well as to advise on public company board of directors' diversity and environmental, social and governance matters.

In 2022, Scheck was named to the Best Lawyers in America Lawyer of the Year list and received the publication's Women in Law recognition in 2017. Scheck is also a past recipient of the Wichita Business Journal's Women Who Lead and 40 Under 40 recognitions.

Outside of her legal work, Scheck is heavily involved in the Wichita community including serving on the Mark Arts board of directors. Scheck is also a member of the Kansas and Wichita Women Attorneys Association and the Society for Human Resource Management.
