Wichita Business Journal Highlights Scheck's Elevation to Office Managing Partner

Stinson LLP Partner Stephanie Scheck is featured in a Wichita Business Journal article, "Stinson names firm veteran Stephanie Scheck as Wichita managing partner," discussing her new role as the firm's Wichita office managing partner.

Scheck said she wants to increase the firm's presence in Wichita and the profiles of the attorneys based there. She also hopes to grow the firm's Wichita office in support of firmwide strategic plans.

"I want to build on what we've already been able to accomplish here and make sure that more clients in the Wichita market know who we are and what we do, and that we may be a good fit for their legal needs," Scheck said. "We provide very sophisticated legal practices out of our Wichita office."

In addition to serving as the firm's Wichita office managing partner, Scheck serves on the firm's board of directors, executive committee, and as co-chair of the firm's Labor, Employment & Benefits Practice Division.

"My passion is to be an attorney, I love what I do supporting my clients in the employment area," Scheck said. "Clients always take first priority over anything else I do. So it's a new role, but it's consistent with some of the other things I've already been doing for Stinson for many years."

Scheck's practice focuses on employment litigation and providing employment counseling on a variety of complex issues. She specializes in representing clients in Affirmative Action Plan audits and administrative claims before the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs and often represents companies in high-stakes internal investigations. Scheck utilizes her experience to serve as lead labor and employment specialty counsel in transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, as well as to advise on public company board of directors' diversity and environmental, social and governance matters.
