Zack Taylor Featured in Minnesota Lawyer's Breaking the Ice Series
Stinson LLP attorney Zachary Taylor is featured in a recent Minnesota Lawyer article, "Breaking the Ice: Advising leaders on battlefield, in business," discussing his military experience prior to practicing law and the challenges and opportunities associates face in big law firms.
Taylor highlights why he chose to attend law school and his transition from advising battlefield commanders in the U.S. Army to assisting colleagues and firm clients in navigating the new Corporate Transparency Act. A former U.S. Army military intelligence captain, Taylor says he brings the diplomatic skills honed in that role to his practice that focuses on corporate governance, contracting matters and complex business transactions.
He also discusses his life outside of the firm, including his family, favorite activity away from work, what he's currently reading and highlights his former law school professor whom he admires.
Taylor has experience with matters involving mergers and acquisitions, private securities work, and advising private and family-owned businesses in the negotiation, formation, restructuring and succession planning of their businesses. He also has experience drafting operating agreements and bylaws for nonprofit trade associations and family businesses, and revising operating and subscription agreements in support of serial entrepreneurs. Taylor also has an active pro bono practice.
