Overview
Cade draws on experience handling matters in both state and federal courts, including jury trials, arbitrations, mediations and settlement negotiations. Cade is skilled at managing all stages of litigation, from pre-suit strategy and discovery through dispositive motions and trial, and he works closely with clients to align legal solutions with business goals.
During law school, Cade externed for Chief Judge Michael G. Williamson of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida, where he gained insight into judicial decision-making and helped draft a bankruptcy guide later adopted by the Naval Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He also interned for Judge George Reynolds in Florida’s Second Judicial Circuit and served as an investigative intern with the State Attorney’s Office, where he assisted with trial preparation and investigative strategy.
Experience
Second-chaired a federal jury trial for a regional bank and secured a complete defense verdict in Fair Credit Reporting Act claims, handling jury selection and examinations of both fact and expert witnesses.
Drafted and argued motions in high-stakes commercial litigation, including dispositive and evidentiary hearings.
Assisted clients in arbitration, mediation, and settlement negotiations, including drafting and finalizing settlement agreements.
Participated in a multi-week, $200-million commercial litigation trial team.
