Overview
Emily gained experience as a law clerk for the Minnesota Court of Appeals, where she assisted in drafting, editing and reviewing opinions on a variety of criminal, civil and administrative cases, and has researched and written legal memorandums on topics in various practice areas, including intellectual property, litigation and construction.
Experience
Emily has significant experience in all phases of litigation, including discovery and motions practice in state and federal court.
Member of team that protected corporate client against DOJ bringing charges after a multi-year grand jury investigation on the alleged grounds of violating International Emergency Economic Powers Act's export control provisions.
Assists in representing a defendant in multiple nationwide class actions and related state litigation related to alleged Sherman Antitrust Act and state consumer protection law violations.
Emily is committed to pro bono work, and has assisted clients with immigration and social security matters. She most recently assisted a pro bono client through the naturalization process, resulting in the client receiving his citizenship.
Emily serves on the board and the finance committee of the Speaking Out Collective, a non-profit organization creating arts-based activities to nurture curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking for all ages.
