Gunnar's time in state politics and experience in courtrooms across Missouri informs his dynamic practice today.
Overview
Gunnar excels in delivering exceptional legal representation for commercial clients across diverse industries, including real estate development, banking and financial services, and construction.
He is a sought-after advisor for various elected officials, political candidates and campaigns. Gunnar's affinity for political law developed while working as a political consultant in Jefferson City, Missouri, and as a development officer at the University of Missouri. He also spent more than two years working in press and legislative relations with the Missouri Attorney General's Office.
During law school, Gunnar served as an intern for Chief Magistrate Judge David P. Rush at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. He was also awarded the Fred L. Howard Prize for Excellence in the Advancement of Advocacy. His written work regarding the initiative petition and referendum process has been published in the Missouri Law Review and relied upon by experts and elected officials.
Prior to joining Stinson, Gunnar worked as a civil trial attorney, successfully securing more than a dozen judgments for clients in matters ranging from the enforcement of creditors' rights to high-stakes business disputes.
Outside of the office, Gunnar enjoys live music, fishing in the Ozarks, and solving the daily New York Times' Crossword.
