Overview
Jim assists clients on a multitude of complex real estate projects. He represents purchasers, sellers, landlords and tenants in the drafting and negotiating of transaction documents for purchase and sale, leasing and financing transactions, as well as in the execution of those matters from start to finish. Jim works with municipal and developer clients on complex real estate development and public incentives transactions. He performs in-depth, detailed real estate due diligence on an array of transactional and corporate matters, including detailed title and survey review.
The clients Jim works with benefit from his broad legal experience, with Jim having served as in-house counsel at a leading real estate company where he advised business leadership on a host of real estate and business issues.
Jim also served as a judge advocate on active duty in the U.S. Navy, where he succeeded in multiple demanding roles and environments, including at sea and in the Pentagon. Jim is currently a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps.
Experience
Served as local counsel to Philadelphia-based real estate developer Parkway Corporation in the acquisition of a strategically-located multi-space parking facility in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
