Overview
Judith's practice focuses on intellectual property and commercial litigation matters. She assists clients through all stages of the litigation process, from pre-litigation through appeal. Judith regularly represents clients in patent, trademark, trade secret, trade dress, copyright, and false advertising litigation in federal courts nationwide. She also represents clients in matters involving state unfair competition laws and in other commercial disputes, including those involving professional services and software development agreements.
Judith's clients come from diverse industries, including manufacturing, technology, telecommunications, construction, aviation, energy, defense, and health care. Clients rely on her thorough research and strategic solutions to navigate their complex legal issues.
Judith brings deep practical experience in both discovery and trial matters, having skillfully taken and defended depositions, managed e-Discovery teams, and successfully resolved discovery disputes.
Judith also served as the lead associate at two multi-week trials, completing witness examination (direct and cross) of both factual and expert witnesses. Her trial skills also extended to preparing and arguing trial motions, evidentiary issues, and favorable jury instructions.
Judith is also fluent in Spanish.
Experience
Defended a global manufacturer in complex federal court litigation involving false advertising, passing off, copyright infringement, unfair competition and breach of contract claims. Obtained a verdict in the client's favor on all counts following a two-week bench trial.
Represented a nationally known sporting goods company in the District of Delaware, enforcing utility patents and trademarks, and obtained an early consent injunction and settlement. See press release from PR Newswire.
Represented a large electric cooperative in a breach of contract, breach of good faith and fair dealing, and negligence matter. Obtained a multimillion-dollar verdict in favor of client following a three-week jury trial.
Advised a top telecommunications company on risks associated with a number of government contracts and compliance with cloud services laws and regulations.
Assisted a leading IT security consulting firm in drafting master services agreements, statements of work and subcontracting agreements.
Helped various clients navigate the requirements for and successfully obtain COVID-19 relief appropriations, including PPP and state-administered funds.
