Clients value Julie’s judgment, adaptability, and trial experience, which she uses to craft strategies focused on achieving the best outcomes.
Overview
Julie focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation and trademark prosecution. She excels at cutting through the minutiae to focus on what truly matters, particularly as cases move toward trial. Her trial experience allows her to view disputes through the lens of what will ultimately matter in the courtroom, ensuring that each strategy is designed with the big picture in mind.
Julie represents plaintiffs and defendants in trademark, trade secret, copyright, patent and false advertising cases in federal courts nationwide. Her trademark litigation practice has allowed her to explore the nuances of the Lanham Act as well as various state unfair competition laws, including California’s Unfair Competition Law (UCL). She also handles commercial disputes for technology companies, including disputes involving software development agreements. Julie leverages her background as an appellate law clerk to bring a unique perspective to her cases that incorporates her insight into judicial decision-making and enhances her ability to communicate effectively and persuasively on behalf of her clients.
Combining her strong advocacy skills and intellectual property focus, Julie helps clients protect and defend their brands through trademark prosecution and enforcement. She serves as outside trademark counsel for a variety of clients ranging from single member LLCs and family-owned businesses to large corporations.
