Karina brings a strategic approach to resolving a variety of infrastructure-related matters.

Overview

Karina focuses her practice on infrastructure matters including energy, environmental, mining and transportation. Specifically, Karina assists clients on transportation and trade matters subject to both federal and international law. Karina also assists clients on complex EPC and CMAR infrastructure projects, including how to navigate federal grant rules.

Before joining the firm as an associate, Karina worked as an attorney for four years in Oslo, Norway where she worked on transportation and commercial insurance-related matters, as well as dispute resolution. In addition, Karina represented clients in court proceedings and mediations and served as co-counsel in a major reinsurance arbitration related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Karina also taught transportation law for four years.

Karina started her legal career in the U.S. as a legal intern for a global technology distributor in Arizona, before serving as a law clerk and summer associate at Stinson where she gained experience in transportation law, civil procedure and general contract matters. She conducted legal research and writing, including memoranda, briefs and multistate surveys.

Karina is fluent in Norwegian.
