Overview

Megan offers a full-service spectrum of support to clients. Her practice ranges across banking, financial services, and commercial lending.  

She represents clients throughout several states in litigation in federal and state courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution forums. Particularly, she advocates for clients in creditors’ rights disputes, ranging from documentation of loan transactions, debt restructuring, and bankruptcy matters. She defends national banks against a wide range of banking operations issues including complex fraud. Her practice also entails drafting loan documents for commercial real estate transactions for major auto lenders.

Megan’s experience is multifaceted and frequently involves analyzing legal risks and mitigation efforts related to the Uniform Commercial Code’s Articles 9, 3, 4, and 4A, along with the Electronic Funds Transfer Act (Reg E), and various other federal and state consumer protection and privacy laws.

Megan is an active member of the Orange County Bar Association’s Banking and Lending Section and the Young Lawyers’ Division. She also volunteers for the Constitutional Rights Foundation of Orange County furthering grade school students’ exposure and access to the legal field via mock trial competitions held in local state and federal courthouses.

Supported successful trial win for Big Four bank facing millions of dollars in claimed damages arising from a commercial line of credit and business account dispute.

Represented national auto lender in multimillion-dollar loan dispute involving cross-default and cross-collateralized loan obligations, as well as fixed and revolving credit lines.

Successfully negotiated several favorable settlements for leading banks against complex fraud disputes and consumer banking matters.

Drafted loan documents for multimillion-dollar commercial real estate loan renewal and modification.

Argued and drafted winning dispositive motions in front of reputable judges and against experienced litigators.

Advocated for a well-known power sports company in securing writs of replevin and repossession of secured collateral throughout the country.
