Nicole is dedicated to assisting clients in complex real estate, finance and tax credit transactions.
Overview
Nicole works with investors, community development entities, developers and lenders on a national scale to structure and finance tax credit deals. Her experience spans New Markets Tax Credits (NMTCs), Historic Tax Credits (HTCs), (renewable energy) Investment Tax Credits (ITCs), and general real estate matters.
Nicole has experience financing the development and redevelopment of various NMTC projects in low-income communities. The NMTC projects Nicole has worked on include community centers, athletic facilities, distribution centers, entertainment venues and mixed-use developments. Additionally, Nicole has assisted investors and lenders with financing HTC redevelopment projects including hotel spaces and apartment facilities.
Currently, Nicole serves as a fellow in the National Bar Association’s Associate Advancement Academy 2023-2024 cohort.
Experience
Assisted in the representation of an investor in a $17.5 million NMTC investment to develop a janitorial and sanitary products distribution complex in Missouri.
Represented a sponsor non-profit corporation in an NMTC financing used to develop a mixed-use, retail, commercial, and co-working space in St. Louis, Missouri.
Assisted an ITC investor in a renewable energy (solar) transaction to finance a ground-mount solar facility in Maine.
Assisted an HTC investor and lender in providing $12 million to finance the redevelopment of a historic building into an apartment complex in St. Louis, Missouri.
