Overview
His practice centers on counseling clients in corporate and real estate transactions, development projects and permitting and compliance issues. Clients appreciate Rob's focus on practical solutions and achieving his clients' business objectives.
Rob's background as a licensed land surveyor gives him insight into, and skills in resolving, many title and survey problems for his clients. His prior experience also includes several years with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Forest Service. Additionally, Rob is a Minnesota State Bar Association Board-Certified Real Property Law Specialist.
Experience
Rob has assisted clients with evaluating and minimizing environmental risks in hundreds of transactions and regulatory matters throughout the United States, and stays up-to-date on regulatory changes and evolving and emerging issues such as vapor intrusion and PFAS contamination.
Rob has helped private and public developers purchase, remediate and redevelop numerous brownfields, including state and federal Superfund sites.
Rob routinely helps clients with their purchase, sale and leasing of real estate, and related matters such as title clearance, zoning approvals and boundary disputes.
Rob has had significant roles in drafting brownfields-related legislation in Minnesota.
