Robin leads the firm's Associate Competencies Engagement Program (ACE) which aims to support equitable access to career-enhancing work experiences and to empower associates to own their professional development.
Overview
As part of this effort, Robin meets three times a year with new to practice associates to discuss self-assessments, review progress on core competencies, and brainstorm professional and business development needs and opportunities. Where appropriate, she assists associates with developing an action plan to accelerate skill development based on their tenure and practice area. To better support associates and internal attorneys assigning work, she participates in the annual review process and division meetings. To facilitate the implementation and adoption of the ACE program, Robin also collaborates with multiple internal teams, including the pro bono committee, the Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer and the Director of Well-Being.
Experience
Prior to leading this associate-focused initiative as a practice development partner, Robin litigated a broad spectrum of commercial disputes. She has experience in employment, insurance and product liability litigation.
Clients have turned to her when faced with putative class action cases involving alleged violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act related to background checks, employment discrimination, confidentiality and non-compete/non-solicitation agreements, defamation, banking disputes and trademark matters.
She has appeared in trial and appellate courts in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa, as well as the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Eighth and Tenth Circuits.
