Experience
Scott recently served as general counsel to a NASDAQ-listed global financial transaction services corporation. He advised the board of directors and management on strategic issues across diverse jurisdictions, global acquisitions and financings, implemented corporate governance policies, and negotiated major commercial agreements.
Scott represents public and private companies in domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, including:
Sale of Everest Global Technology Group, LLC, an internet, telephony and cable service business and subsidiary of Aquila, Inc., to Seaport Capital Partners III, L.P. through an auction process.
Sale of AeroComm Inc., a designer and manufacturer of wireless communications systems, to Laird Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Laird Group PLC.
Merger of equals of FCStone Group, Inc. and International Assets Holding Corporation resulting in a combined company with a market capitalization of $285 million.
