Billy utilizes his background in business to assist in private business matters.
Prior to joining Stinson as an associate, Billy was a summer associate at the firm. Before law school, Billy worked in various roles at corporate headquarters of a Fortune 50 company in Minneapolis, developing his skills in profit and loss management, strategic planning, negotiations, business evaluation and analysis, DEI as profit-maximizing strategy, and regional segmentation.
Experience
Assisted a telecommunications provider with its secured credit facility and Rule 144A notes offering, with total borrowing in excess of $1.5 billion.
Successfully closed or advised on multiple acquisitions for a fast-growing Minnesota printing company, including a complex carve-out acquisition from a private equity firm and the stock acquisition of an ESOP-owned company.
Advised a local family-owned fertilizer and agriculture nutrition company on their sale and rollover reinvestment with a European investment group.
Assisted a closely-held Minnesota-based printing company in the multimillion dollar sale of their business to a private equity firm.
In addition to his mergers & acquisitions and corporate financing work, he regularly advises on a variety of matters for a diverse set of clients, including large distributors, auto and truck dealers, agricultural companies, architect and other professional services firms, electrical contractors, and sports leagues.
