Overview

Chris is an associate in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the firm’s litigation group.  His practice is focused on complex litigation and appeals.

Prior to joining Vorys, Chris served as an assistant attorney general for multiple years in the Consumer Protection section of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, where he gained valuable experience in state and federal courts while investigating and litigating violations of state and federal consumer protection laws on behalf of Ohioans.  His practice focused on bringing businesses into compliance with advertising, telemarketing and data breach regulations.  Chris served as a member of the Ohio Robocall Enforcement Unit and as the attorney general’s appointee to the Ohio Department of Veterans Services Advisory Committee. 

Chris clerked for the Honorable Chief Justice Sharon Kennedy of the Supreme Court of Ohio, where he prepared merit opinion drafts and bench memos for oral argument cases, reviewed and analyzed jurisdictional memoranda before the Court, and assisted the Chief Justice in her administrative and constitutional duties over Ohio courts. 

Chris is a certified information privacy professional/US (CIPP/US). 

Chris received his J.D. cum laude from the Notre Dame Law School, where he served as the executive symposium editor for the Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy.  He also served as president of the Military and Veteran Law Society and vice president of the Hispanic Law Student Association.  Chris received his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.

Military Service

Chris served as an engineering laboratory technician with the United States Navy, maintaining the reactor plant chemistry and radiological controls aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt, including a deployment.
