Overview
Raymund is a patent agent in the Vorys Houston office and a member of the intellectual property (IP) group. He has over two decades of experience preparing and prosecuting United States and foreign patent applications in chemistry, life sciences and related fields. In particular, he has significant experience in antibody therapeutics, medical devices, polymer packaging, small molecule diagnostics and therapeutics, liposome delivery systems, nutriceuticals, green fuels and food products. Raymund is also experienced in conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate searches and analysis, as well as assisting attorneys in developing claim construction arguments.
Prior to entering law, Raymund conducted academic research in reactions of nitric oxide with myoglobin. Results of his research have been published in journals such as Biochemistry, Biophysical Chemistry and The Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry.
Raymund received both his B.A. and his Ph.D. in biochemistry from Rice University.
