2018 Kentucky Court of Appeals Spring Conference

On April 19, 2018 three Vorys attorneys presented at the 2018 Kentucky Court of Appeals Spring Conference in Frankfort, Kentucky.  The event is an annual education conference for Kentucky’s appellate judiciary, staff attorneys, case managers and clerks, and speaking opportunities are by invitation only from the judges of the Kentucky Court of Appeals.  Eric Richardson, J.B. Lind and Brent Craft addressed recent developments in cybersecurity law and class action litigation involving data breaches. The presentation, Legal Developments and Implications of Data Breaches addressed the types of cybersecurity threats, the impact of such breaches, Kentucky’s enactment of data breach statutes and cases interpreting their requirements. Lastly they provided an update on recent appellate decisions concerning the litigation of data breach claims.
