On July 27, 2018, Vorys attorneys Liam Gruzs and Mairi Mull presented at the Addiction Studies Institute. The pair presented, Confidentiality of Patient Medical Records - 42 CFR Part 2 And HIPAA Update. This presentation provided updates on changes to 42 CFR Part 2, which impact issues related to patient consent and sharing substance use disorder treatment records. This session also gave a HIPAA overview as well as explored the complicated relationship between 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.
