On April 19, 2018 Vorys attorneys hosted the program, What #MeToo Means For You: A Guide to Navigating Civility, Harassment, and Other Workplace Minefields in partnership with the Central Ohio Association of Corporate Counsel. Partners Natalie McLaughlin and Monica Oathout presented Workplace Civility, Off-Duty Conduct and the First Amendment: Where Should Employers Draw the Line? Their presentation discussed the decline of civility in the workplace, employers versus employees’ expectations related to freedom of speech, and social media and behavior outside the workplace. Partner Jackie Ford presented Sexual Harassment: What to Know and What to Do in the #MeToo Era which discussed strategies to prevent sexual harassment, how to protect your workplace from toxic employees/ enablers, as well as best practices.
