Webinar: Obligations Arising from Opposing Counsel Misconduct

Marcel Duhamel and Ted Mattis, partners and members of the Vorys litigation group, will present a webinar as part of the Vorys University: 2025 Professional Conduct & Ethics Webinar Series on December 2 at from noon to 1:00 P.M. EST.

The title of the presentation is "Obligations Arising from Opposing Counsel Misconduct."  Among the topics discussed will be:

  • the circumstances under which opposing counsel misconduct must be reported to the ethical authorities, when it should be reported, and when it should not be reported; 
  • processes and procedures after one lawyer reports another to the disciplinary authorities;
  • prohibited uses of opposing counsel misconduct, including to gain settlement leverage, and more. 

Each webinar in the Vorys University: 2025 Professional Conduct & Ethics Webinar Series is pending one hour of ethics/professional conduct CLE credit in California, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas.  They are also pending one hour of New Lawyer Training credit in Ohio and on-demand credit in Ohio.
