Overview

Michael is an associate in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the firm’s litigation group.

Prior to joining Vorys, Michael worked as a policy analyst at both the state and national level.  He audited the U.S. government’s program for training and equipping the Iraqi military while working for the U.S. Government Accountability Office and assessed threats to state and federal officials and public assets while serving the Ohio Department of Public Safety.

Michael clerked for the Honorable Judge Edmund A. Sargus, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and for the Honorable Judge Pierre H. Bergeron of the Ohio First District Court of Appeals.  

During law school, he interned for the Ohio Public Defender’s Appeals and Postconviction Section, the Ohio Justice and Policy Center, and the National Police Accountability Project. 

He received his J.D. magna cum laude from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where he served as the chief articles editor for the Ohio State Law Journal and was a member of the Order of the Coif.  He received his M.A. in security studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. from Marietta College.
