Julie Gibson

Julie is of counsel in the Vorys Cincinnati office and a member of Vorys eControl.  Julie supports Vorys eControl and its ancillary business in the areas of data compliance, software and data contracts, and international and cross-border data compliance.  She also drafts and administers eControl’s internal policies. 

Prior to joining Vorys, Julie spent more than 15 years as in-house counsel at a Fortune 50 international corporation.  During this time, she advised company leaders on global IT transactions, high-value IT services and privacy and cybersecurity issues.  She also served as the company’s global privacy program leader.  In addition, Julie provided advice to the company’s brand teams on advertising strategy and execution to minimize litigation risk under the Lanham Act.   

Julie received her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where she was the articles editor for the University of Cincinnati Law Review.  She received her B.A. summa cum laude from Xavier University.
