Overview

Taylor is an associate in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the corporate group.  Her practice focuses on representing both public and private companies in corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities compliance, periodic reporting and disclosure (Form 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K, as well as proxy statement disclosure) and corporate governance.  In addition, she counsels clients on general business matters, such as business entity formation and the drafting and negotiation of business contracts and commercial agreements.  She also assists in the representation of franchisors in the development and structuring of franchise systems, including preparation of franchise agreements, franchise disclosure documents and in dealings with their franchisees.

In addition to her corporate practice, Taylor has experience in sports and entertainment law, including drafting agreements for player engagement contracts, brand deal contracts, NDAs and NIL-related matters.

Taylor is also actively involved with the Vorys Initiative for Business Empowerment (VIBE), an innovative program aimed at making legal services more accessible to minority owned businesses.  She assists VIBE clients with entity formation (including LLCs and multi-member LLCs), drafting and reviewing governing documents, and developing template portfolios with essential business documents.

Taylor received her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she was the president of the Black Law Students Association, a staff editor and online manager of the Ohio State Business Law Journal where she had two articles published in the Journal’s 2022 online issue.  She was involved in several other student organizations, including the Program on Law and Leadership, Peer Advisor Program, and the Sports and Entertainment Law Association.  She received her B.S. magna cum laude in business administration from High Point University.  Taylor was on the women’s basketball team while at High Point and received the Scholar Athlete Award from 2015-2018.  She was also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

  • Representing Air Transport Services Group, Inc. in its $3.1 billion go-private acquisition by Stonepeak Partners, LP.
