Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Issues Its Final Environmental Impact Statement
On November 30, 2016, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued its Final Environmental Impact Statement for the NEXUS Gas Transmission Project. FERC’s staff concluded “that approval…would result in some adverse environmental impacts; however, these impacts would be reduced to acceptable levels with the implementation of NEXUS’s…proposed mitigation measures and the additional measures recommended by staff in the final EIS.”
NEXUS’s proposed project consists of 209.8 miles of new 36-inch diameter natural gas pipeline in Ohio. If you have questions regarding this proposed project, or your rights, please contact Tom Fusonie (614.464.8261 or thfusonie@vorys.com) or Joe Miller (614.464.6233 or jrmiller@vorys.com).
