Kaplan Featured on FOX19 Legal Show

Andrew Kaplan, a partner in the Vorys Cincinnati office and member of the labor and employment group, was a guest on the Fox19 Moore Law Show, a Cincinnati based call-in show that addresses legal issues and answers questions posed by callers.  Kaplan, who represents employers in workers’ compensation matters, discussed workers’ compensation issues with the show’s hosts.

The topics they discussed included:

• How the workers’ compensation process works in Ohio
• How employers (both insured and self-insured) approve medical procedures for injured employees
• Independent contractor vs. employee factors for workers’ compensation purposes
• Where a claim could be filed if a worker was injured while in another state on work-related business.
