Porter Honored by Central Ohio Transit Authority
William G. Porter, II was honored on June 23, 2010 for his years of service as chairman of the Board of the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) with the dedication of a new boardroom in his honor. The room, called the William G. Porter II Boardroom, is located in COTA’s new downtown office building and will be used for Board of Trustees meetings as well as public meetings. The William G. Porter II Boardroom will also be available to host the meetings of other organizations. Porter served as chairman of the Board from 2002 through 2009.
Porter is a partner in the Columbus office of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP and chair of the litigation group. His trial practice focuses on general civil litigation with particular expertise in commercial and business disputes, product liability matters and construction law. He was named a 2010 Ohio Super Lawyer in General Litigation and one of the Best Lawyers in America in Commercial Litigation.
Mr. Porter received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and his B.A. cum laude from Amherst College.
