Tangeman Quoted in New Albany News Story Titled “Development Appeal Ulry Road Site Garners Interest Anew”
Jill Tangeman, a partner in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the finance, energy and real estate group, was quoted in a New Albany News story titled “Development Appeal Ulry Road Site Garners Interest Anew.” The story was about an informal presentation given to the Northland Community Council about land that could be developed in the near-future.
The story states:
“A 68-acre parcel off Ulry Road, once proposed as the site of an apartment and retail complex that drew the ire of nearby residents, again is being looked at for development.
Nearby residents turned out in force at last week's meeting of the Northland Community Council development committee, even though the members were listening only to an informal presentation about land that has yet to be annexed into Columbus from Blendon Township.
Attorney Jill S. Tangeman, a partner in the firm Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease, which represented Preferred Real Estate when the mixed-used project was under consideration in early 2012, was back before the committee last week, but this time on behalf of McCorkle Soaring Eagles, the owner of the site.
The purpose of appearing before the advisory panel without seeking a recommendation of any kind -- in fact, before a rezoning application has even been filed -- was to discuss various ideas for the site "on a completely informal basis," she said.
‘We're still trying to figure out exactly what we want to do here,’ Tangeman said.”
