Vorys Attorneys featured in Law360 Story on U.S. Department of Commerce Investigations
Frederick Waite, Kimberly Young and Sutton Meagher, attorneys in the Vorys Washington, D.C. office, were featured in an International Trade Law360 article titled “Commerce Kicks Off Countervailing Duty Probe On Hangers the domestic producers.” The article was about two U.S. Department of Commerce investigations related to U.S. wire hanger imports from Vietnam and Taiwan. According to the article, U.S. companies claim that Taiwanese and Vietnamese companies are dumping subsidized wire hangers into the U.S. market and, in the process, injuring the U.S. companies.
The article states: “Commerce’s actions come after domestic manufacturers M&B Metal Products Company Inc., Innovative Fabrication LLC and U.S. Hanger Company LLC petitioned Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission to open anti-dumping and countervailing duties investigations.” “In the ITC action, the domestic producers are represented by Frederick Paul Waite, Kimberly Young and Sutton Meagher of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP.”
