Vorys Named a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality” in the Human Rights Campaign’s 2018 Corporate Equality Index
Vorys has been recognized as one of the top gay-friendly workplaces in central Ohio for the tenth year in a row by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). The firm received an equality score of 100 (out of a possible 100) and was named a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.” The firm earned this score for having non-discrimination policies, a firm-wide diversity group, and for supporting the LGBT community, among other criteria. Only seven central Ohio-based businesses received perfect scores.
In addition, the firm was one of only five Ohio-based law firms listed in the rankings.
Each fall, HRC releases the Corporate Equality Index report (CEI). The 2018 CEI rated ## businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.
