Vorys Welcomes Experienced Employee Benefits and Tax Counsel
Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP announced today that experienced employee benefits and tax counsel, Wendy M. Swary, has re-joined the firm’s Columbus office as of counsel. Prior to joining Vorys, Swary served as in-house employee benefits and tax counsel at The Ohio State University for more than a decade. She has over 20 years of experience counseling clients on employee benefits, executive compensation and related tax matters. Swary previously practiced at the firm from 2005 to 2009.
“We’re excited to welcome Wendy back to Vorys,” said Mark Knueve, chair of the Vorys labor and employment group. “She has been in-house for more than a decade and during that time she gained valuable experience and knowledge that have equipped her to better assist our clients across the U.S.”
Swary has experience in a wide variety of employee benefits, executive compensation and related tax matters, including qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation, incentive compensation, health and welfare plans, insurance benefits, fringe benefits, and payroll tax matters.
“The employee benefits team at Vorys is one of the best,” said Swary. “I am excited to re-join the firm and work with such highly regarded attorneys to best support the firm’s clients.”
Swary received her J.D. with honors from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. She received her B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University.
