Vorys Welcomes New First-Year Associates
Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease is pleased to welcome nine new first-year associates to the firm. Justin Farra, Jocelyn Harrington, Elizabeth Howard and George Stevens joined the Columbus office; Justin Gingerich, Nick House and Shannon Majoras joined the Cleveland office; and Clifford Lauchlan and Emily St. Cyr joined the Cincinnati office.
Columbus
Justin Farra practices in the corporate group in the Columbus office. He recently graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Justin was a 2013 Vorys summer associate and a judicial extern for the Honorable Guy R. Cole in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He received his B.A. magna cum laude from The Ohio State University. He was an All-American member of the Big Ten Championship swim team and varsity record holder.
Jocelyn Harrington practices in the litigation group in the Columbus office. She recently graduated from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Jocelyn was a judicial extern for the Honorable Edmund A. Sargus, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. She received her B.A. summa cum laude and M.Ed. from John Carroll University. Before attending law school, Jocelyn taught U.S. history at St. Ignatius in Cleveland and at St. Francis DeSales in Columbus.
Elizabeth Howard practices in the labor and employment group in the Columbus office. She recently graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she was the chief managing editor of the Ohio State Law Journal. Elizabeth was a 2013 Vorys summer associate and a judicial extern for the Hon. Judge Michael H. Watson in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. She received her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to law school, she worked in account management for Epic, the nation's largest health care software vendor.
George Stevens practices in the labor and employment group in the Columbus office. He recently graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School. While at Vanderbilt, he served as an ambassador for prospective students, served on the executive board of the Phi Delta Phi honors society and coached youth soccer. George was a 2013 Vorys summer associate office. He received his B.A. from Centre College. While at Centre, he spent four years as a varsity swimmer, coached youth soccer and swimming, and founded a project that rebuilt a community park office.
Cleveland
Justin Gingerich practices in the litigation group in the Cleveland office. He recently graduated from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Business Law Journal. Justin was a 2013 Vorys summer associate. He also interned at the general counsel’s office of the African Development Bank in Tunis, Tunisia during law school. Justin received his B.A. magna cum laude from Malone University.
Nick House practices in the finance, energy and real estate group in the Cleveland office. He recently graduated from William and Mary Law School, where he was a member of the William and Mary Law Review. Nick was a 2013 Vorys summer associate and a legal intern for the Western Reserve Land Conservancy in Chesterland, Ohio. He received his B.A. from the University of Michigan. Before attending law school, Nick worked for a real estate development and construction company in Detroit.
Shannon Majoras practices in the litigation group in the Cleveland office. She recently graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was a senior editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law. Shannon was a 2013 Vorys summer associate. She also worked as a research assistant to a law professor focusing on electronic medical records and medical malpractice reform. Shannon received her B.A. from Rice University.
Cincinnati
Clifford Lauchlan practices in the litigation group in the Cincinnati office. He recently graduated summa cum laude from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and an articles editor for the University of Cincinnati Law Review. Clifford was a 2013 Vorys summer associate and a judicial extern to the Honorable Patrick F. Fischer of the Ohio First District Court of Appeals. He received his B.A from Taylor University College in Edmonton, Alberta and his M.A. in from the University of Dayton.
Emily St. Cyr practices in the litigation group in the Cincinnati office. She recently graduated cum laude from the University of Cincinnati College Of Law. Emily was a 2013 Vorys summer associate and a fellow with the Ohio Innocence Project. She received her B.A cum laude from Miami University. During a semester at Miami, Emily studied abroad in Luxembourg and visited 15 countries throughout Europe.
