Morehart and Shaw to Receive PLEDGE Emerging Leaders Award
Emma Morehart and Jabari Shaw, associates in the Vorys Cincinnati office, will receive the 2024 PLEDGE Emerging Leaders Award from the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Chapter of the Federal Bar Association later this year. The Diversity & Inclusion Committee of the Chapter gives the award out each year to spotlight the professional successes of exceptional lawyers in the greater Cincinnati area. Only seven lawyers will receive this year’s PLEDGE award.
Morehart is a member of the Vorys eControl group. Her practice focuses on issues related to eCommerce, online brand protection and product diversion. She has experience litigating against unauthorized sellers in actions involving trademark infringement, counterfeiting, unfair competition, false advertising and related torts.
Shaw focuses his practice on intellectual property development, protection, and enforcement, primarily in the areas of trademark and copyright law. He also has worked extensively on issues surrounding protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights on social media and online marketplace platforms. Shaw is also the chair of the Vorys Diversity Network, a place where the firm’s racially and ethnically-diverse, LGBTQ+ and differently-abled lawyers can build community, promote professional and leadership development, and leverage their perspectives and experiences to support and advance broader firm initiatives.
