Vorys Adds Nationally Recognized Trademark and Copyright Lawyer
Vorys announced today that intellectual property (IP) attorney Jason Mueller has joined the firm as a partner in Texas. For nearly 20 years, Mueller has counseled clients on a wide array of IP areas, including patents, trademarks, trade dress, false advertising, copyright, publicity and trade secrets.
“We are ecstatic to welcome Jason to Vorys,” said Carey Jordan, chair of the Vorys IP group. “He is a talented lawyer, a creative thinker, and an advocate for clients both inside and outside of the courtroom. Jason will immediately co-lead our national trademark and copyright group with Mark Watkins and take the reins outright when Mark retires from practice.”
In his practice, Mueller provides guidance and counseling on all aspects of trademark prosecution and transactions. He also represents clients in federal courts and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mueller has served as lead trial counsel in IP cases that have proceeded through jury trial verdict and beyond.

Mueller received his J.D. cum laude from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and his B.S. in biology and chemistry from Ouachita Baptist University. Before attending law school, he spent eight years serving in the U.S. Army National Guard in several states.
