Vorys Collaboration on AI with Stanford Law School Highlighted in Law360 Story

Law360 published a story on the unveiling of Stanford Law School’s Legal Innovation through Frontier Technology Lab (liftlab), a program dedicated to advancing AI within the practice of law.  Vorys, founding advisory member of liftlab, was highlighted in the article.  In addition, Vorys’ Managing Partner Michael Martz was quoted.

The story states:

“The lab is already developing AI applications, according to Monday's announcement, including a chatbot that models how legal teams interact and make decisions, as well as tools that analyze legal processes like depositions and generate complex legal text. Additionally, liftlab is building an intake program for the school's Immigrants' Rights Clinic.

Vorys, which was the first founding advisory firm of liftlab, is collaborating with Stanford Law School on an AI-based tool to streamline workflows in patent filings.

‘We are honored to collaborate with liftlab, a unique initiative that combines Stanford's academic excellence with a clear focus on real-world impact,’ Michael Martz, Vorys' managing partner, said in Monday's announcement. ‘Working with liftlab provides our firm with a unique opportunity to develop tools that are tested against the realities of legal work and built with the profession's long-term needs in mind.’”
