Vorys Featured in American Lawyer Story on Innovative Uses of Generative Artificial Intelligence
Vorys’ use and development of AI was featured in an American Lawyer story titled “'Be a Differentiator’: How the Nimbleness Advantage in Gen AI Integration Is Proving Out at Second Hundred Firms.”
The story states:
“Vorys (No. 160 on the Am Law 200), which operates with about 350 lawyers, recently announced it developed and launched proprietary agentic gen AI product AIV Labor, which is designed to quickly and accurately answer attorneys’ and HR professionals’ questions on employment laws at all levels of government, according to the firm.
It also plans to develop similar products for other practice areas, said Scott Powell, a management committee member.
Nate Jedinak, director of software, data and innovation for the firm, said he recognized around 2014 that the firm ‘had the benefits of being a little smaller than others’ and ‘a little more agile.’
He said the firm had developed some of its ancillary businesses (...) through the cloud. It also began using a machine-learning form of AI as early as 2016 for such operations as finding specific words or symbols within text, he said.
‘We were ready to go for AI as soon as generative AI hit the market,’ Jedinak said.”
