Vorys Featured in American Lawyer Story Title ‘Vorys Sater Launches Agentic AI Platform 'AIV Labor'’

Vorys’ launch of AIV Labor, a first-of-its-kind agentic generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) product specifically designed to quickly and effectively address attorneys’ and HR professionals’ questions regarding federal, state, and local employment laws, was featured in The American Lawyer.  The story highlighted the product’s agentic GenAI features, why the firm moved forward with the development of the product and the work that went into making AIV Labor a reality.

The story states:

“Agentic AI, also known as autonomous AI, is a type of generative AI that can run on its own to design and execute digital tasks. These AI agents can open up programs based on human instruction. One example would be for the agent to open up an email program, craft an email, and then send the message autonomously.

At Vorys, it became clear that something novel was needed since ‘we were not finding anything like this off the shelf,’ said Chaz Billington, a partner in the firm's labor and employment group in Cleveland.

‘We identified that there was a problem in need of a solution,’ he said in an interview Monday. ‘We wanted that sort of deeper analysis.’

Attorneys and the firm's IT team spent the past six months testing AIV Labor, and the results have yielded reliability, and an ability to identify and mitigate possible biases or errors that could affect the program's performance, the firm says.

‘Feedback regarding the product has been overwhelmingly positive, and AIV Labor has significantly reduced time spent on research when compared to traditional research methods,’ reads a Vorys news release.”
