Online Notaries and Beyond: An Update on Ohio’s Notary Public Modernization Act

Lisa Babish Forbes, a partner in the Vorys Cleveland office, authored an article in the January/February 2019 issue of the Probate Law Journal of Ohio titled, “Online Notaries and Beyond: An Update on Ohio’s Notary Public Modernization Act.”

The article states:

“Whether you are a notary public or work with people who are, understanding the new requirements for notaries is essential for any lawyer whose practice includes real estate transfers, preparing powers of attorney, or any other action that requires an acknowledgment or verification by a notary. Significant changes are afoot.”
